Terms and Conditions for Hidden Home
1. Booking Policy
● Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of 100% payment.
● The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old.
● A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking.
2. Check-in and Check-out
● Check-in time: 15:00 hrs.
● Check-out time: 10:00 hrs.
● Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and a potential additional fee.
3. Payment
● Full payment is required upon booking.
● We accept bank payments only.
● Any additional services or purchases during the stay must be settled before check-out.
● A Damages Deposit payment of £100 for bookings of 7+ days is required to secure the booking.
4. Cancellation Policy
Peak Holiday Rate Bookings i.e. Christmas, New Year etc. or other special promotions
- Cancellations Made 28 Days or More Before Arrival:
○ Cancellations made at least 28 days before the scheduled check-in date will receive a full refund of any deposit or payment made.
- Cancellations Made 27 to 13 Days Before Arrival:
○ Cancellations made 7 to 13 days before the check-in date will be refunded 50% of the total payment.
- Cancellations Made Less Than 7 Days Before Arrival:
○ If a reservation is canceled within 7 days of the check-in date, no refund will be issued, and the full amount of the stay will be charged.
Fully Refundable (Non-Peak Rate) Cancellations Made Less Than 2 Days Before Arrival:
○ If a reservation is canceled within 7 days of the check-in date, no refund will be issued, and the full amount of the stay will be charged.
Non-Refundable Rates or Special Promotions
● Some reservations made under non-refundable rates or special promotional offers may not be eligible for any refund, regardless of the cancellation date. These will be clearly indicated at the time of booking.
Additional Fees
· A £20 additional laundry fee is added for the extra bedding and towel usage. Automatically applied when booking in 3 guests or the setting up of the sofa bed.
No-Show Policy
● Guests who fail to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notification will be considered a "no-show." In the case of a no-show, the full amount of the stay will be charged, and no refund will be issued.
Early Departures
● Guests departing earlier than the reserved check-out date will not be refunded for any unused portion of their stay unless otherwise agreed upon at the time of booking.
Modification of Reservation
● Modifications to reservations (such as date changes) are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Changes made less than 2 days before arrival may be considered cancellations and are subject to the cancellation policy.
Force Majeure
● Hidden Home are not responsible for cancellations due to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, etc.). In such cases, we will strive to accommodate guests by offering credit or rescheduling options, but no refunds will be guaranteed unless otherwise specified.
Travel Insurance
● We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen cancellations or changes to your travel plans.
How to Cancel
● All cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to clare@hiddenhome.co.uk. Cancellations will be confirmed in writing.
● In the case of no-show, the full amount of the booking will be charged.
5. Children’s Cot
● Children’s cot are available upon request at no additional charge.
● If you require the sofa bed and have not requested it, then please enquire. There is an additional charge for the bedding.
6. House Rules
● No smoking or vaping inside the rooms/building.
● No pets are allowed except guide and assistance dogs.
● No parties or gatherings.
● Please be considerate of our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum during 22:00 hrs. and 07:00 hrs.
● Illegal Activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction. Parking is only in the allocated bay. Please park mindfully of our neighbours. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to move your car.
● Access to the property must be granted at all times. When possible and appropriate, consent for entry will be sought. However, in emergency situations, consent for entry may not be required.
7. Access for Cleaning
- The property can be accessed by cleaning personnel during your stay for routine cleaning and maintenance, at a mutually agreed time.
- If cleaning is required during your stay, we will notify you in advance to schedule a convenient time. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to your stay.
- In the event of an emergency (e.g., plumbing or safety issue), access may be required without prior notice for urgent repairs.
8. Damage or Loss
● Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.
● Hidden Home reserves the right to charge the guests for any damage or missing items discovered after departure.
● A Damages Deposit payment of £100 is required to secure bookings of 7 nights or more.
9. Fire Safety
- The property is equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits for your safety. Guests must familiarize themselves with their locations upon arrival.
- In case of fire or emergency, please evacuate the property immediately and call emergency services at [insert emergency number].
- Guests are prohibited from tampering with or disabling any fire safety equipment.
- No open flames (e.g., candles, incense) are allowed inside the property, except in designated areas, to prevent fire hazards.
- Smoking is [not allowed/only allowed in designated outdoor areas] to reduce fire risks.
10. Liability
● Hidden Home is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
● Guests must take reasonable care for their safety and the safety of others.
11. Complaints
● Any issues or complaints should be reported to the management immediately to give us an opportunity to resolve the matter during your stay.
11. Data Protection
● Guest data will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
12. Commitment to the Environment
● Please reduce your usage of consumables where possible.
● Please leave unused towels and other items to one side.
● Please turn off lights and equipment after use.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
● Hidden Home reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, and the latest version will be made available on our website or on the property.
